Getting Ready for your Virtual Tour Photo Shoot

Getting set up and ready for your interactive 360º virtual tour shoot is very important when marketing properties online. Here are a few suggestions to help you prepare:

Outdoors: Spruce up your garden and lawn; trim shrubbery if necessary. Yard and patios should look neat, outdoor furniture should be in good shape. Mow the lawn, make sure the driveway and entryway are free of clutter. Toys, bikes, lawn chairs and ornaments should be neatly stored or in place.

Living Areas: Remove clutter and tidy up the shelves. Move exces furniture out of rooms. You want the space clean and clutter free. Keep dog crates, tray tables, toys, books, remotes and such either out of site or neatly stowed. Replace burnt out light bulbs in all rooms.

Kitchen: Clean off kitchen counters, remove any clutter.  Make sure dirty and clean dishes are out of the sink and put away. Keep garbage cans throughout the home stowed until after the shoot.

Bathrooms: Put essential items used daily in a small box that can be stored away. Close toilet lid and stow garbage can for the day. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces. Hang towels neatly from the towel bar.

Bedrooms:  Remove jewelry, remotes and any other items you would not like in the photos.

Overall: Check the basics around the house indoors and out. It just takes a minute to make sure the property is clutter free and all is in order. Turn on as many lights as you can before the photographer arrives. Try not to be in the room that the photographer is shooting so you won't be in the picture! Valuables such as firearms, laptops should also be stowed if possible.

The photographer cannot: move furniture, clean or dust, move garbage, pick up or move clutter such as toys, dirty dishes or clothes, dog toys etc.

The BEST results from your online tour depends greatly on the preparation taken prior to the shoot.  We thank you in advance for your efforts in preparing for the photo shoot. If you have specific questions feel free to call Lori at 715-574-6333.
